A series of workshops for members of One Community, an NHS community mental health peer-network for those accessing community and acute inpatient care based in North West London. Following the success of the first One Community zine, participants produced work for a second zine on the theme of love. This combined visual art – drawing, painting and collage – with poetry written as part of One Community’s regular writing project, Well Written, facilitated by writer, Beth Granville. Participants explored what it feel to love; the things, people and places we love, miss and grieve; different kinds of love, including self-love and complicated love.
The zine was presented and distributed as part of a performance of Well Written’s work, alongside projections of visual art, and musical performances by One Community members at the Playground Theatre in February. The event was attended by service-users, members of the public, local stakeholders, NHS staff, family and friends.
