January – April 2024
A series of zine-making workshops for members of One Community, an NHS community mental health peer-network based in North West London. The workshops centred around the theme freedom and aimed to bridge the gap between different forms of creative work being produced by the group. The zine combined visual art – drawing, painting, collage – and poetry written as part of One Community’s regular writing project, Well Written, facilitated by poet, Damon Peart.
The zine was presented and distributed as part of a performance of Well Written’s work, alongside projections of visual art, and musical performances by One Community members at the Playground Theatre in April. The event was attended by service-users, members of the public, local stakeholders, NHS staff, family and friends.
