Collaborative collage-making workshop created in response to the Barbican Art Gallery’s exhibition Lee Krasner: Living Colour for young people 16-25. Drawing on Lee Krasner’s method of using her past artwork from her training in representational drawing to create new abstract work, participants were invited to create their own portraits or figure drawings and use these to create new collage works using a range of materials. Through this process, participants were invited to question not only how to represent themselves or another person, but how to represent the whole experience of being a person, in a body.
